I wrote a couple of weeks ago about my friend who had changed from virgin mobile to o2.
He has made a number of call regarding keeping his own number on the o2 network.
Each time he makes contact he seems to get conflicting advice. He has been told that his number will be changed in 48 hours...2 weeks have past and he has now been given a PAC number that being PAC 65075, he was told to replace the o2 SIM with his Virgin SIM and text the PAC number. That seems to have been pointless as to where does he text that number?
The difficulty is he isn't IT savvy, he isn't able to speak to the same person again and most people he speaks with have English as a second language coupled with accents he finds difficult to decipher. He has now been told that not only is he paying o2 monthly fees but also he's still paying the virgin fees.
What can he do to solve this problem?

Hi Nat,
Thanks for the response.
I've taken a look at the o2 pages that you sent the link for, and my friend is now going to go into the o2 shop with the PAC number, his Virgin SIM and the o2 SIM. According to the o2 pages they will then be able to get his Virgin mobile number transferred.
Thanks

Hi Tom_W
It seems that o2 have failed my friend despite their webpages stating - call us on 202, free from your O2 phone, on 0344 809 0202 from any other phone, or visit an O2 store.
They have now given him a VRG number 573210 with which he should contact Virgin.
He is going around in circles still.
It has certainly made me think again about whether I would change from Virgin to o2 despite any financial carrots.
I think he is going to try another o2 shop to prevent the wait for Virgin to answer and then spend 40 or more minutes on the 'phone.
Regards

Thanks for letting us know about that Vicariously and please let us know how it went, when your friend went to the other O2 shop.
Kind Regards,
