I realise there have been some earlier posts about this but I have tried everything and still I have a permanent voicemail icon with a message saying new voicemail.
There is no new voicemail. I have tried turning off notifications but it remains on screen.
I have listened to and deleted all voicemails.
I have an Android phone and it all worked fine for 6 weeks after joining Virgin mobile - I was over 15 years with O2 and never had this issue! (same mobile number!) so it is obviously a Virgin problem.
If anyone has any suggestions I am more than happy to try.
Yes it is still there - very annoying. Have a Samsung S7 - bought from Virgin with a Virgin contract. Worked fine for a short while but then got a message, listened to it, deleted it and the icon stayed on the front screen. Tried clearing the notifications but it just stays!
Yes, I tried restarting and completely rebooting the phone. I tried to go through voicemail and went through all the menus to find one that might let me reset the notifications. I even turned off notifications on the phone but it stubbornly refused to go away.
However, today I had another voicemail, listened to it and then deleted it and lo, the icon has now gone and it says Virgin in the place where the icon was.
So, thank you for trying to help but it looks like it has reset itself.
I did reset the Voicemail Profile this end at 17:16. So if you had the voicemail after this time then it looks like what I did fixed it. Either way I'm really pleased it's now dissappeared and hope it doesn't come back.
