Virgin Mobile use in EU and Channel islands.

My wife has the '5 GB Oomph Sim' which we got with our Broadband and Phone and TV package. She has just been to Jersey and had mega problems with using her phone. She booked an electric car for a day from EVie which has everything required to collect and use the car on an app on your phone. Not knowing that Virgin is not available on the Channel Islands, and it seems lots of other places, it seems that it has cost quite a lot of money to use the data required to use the car, we think possibly £40, This scam on Virgins behalf needs sorting out !!!. Are we going to have the same issues in France and the Canary Islands.

Re: Virgin Mobile use in EU and Channel islands.

The Channel Islands are a crown dependency. They are neither part of the UK or the EU. So for mobile purposes they have their own mobile systems that your phone roams onto. Calls are also not part of any call package, as despite sharing the +44 UK dialling code they are not part of the UK phone system.

VM BB TV Landline. Vonage 2nd line. Freeview/Freesat HD, ASDA/Tesco PAYG Mobile. Customer since 1993
