So after making the switch from Sky to Virgin Media and being very happy with the package, the service and the speed everything was sorted. I decided to take out a new phone with Virgin too as my EE contract is up in November. However I’ve now been met with ‘order parked’ when I log in to My Virgin Mobile. I find this system very odd on Virgins behalf that they let you set up an account, let you log into an account and set preferences for an account that technically hasn’t even been approved never mind shipped or delivered. I’m guessing it’s down to two sources. A Credit check, which goes back to the point I have just made about being able to set up access to a domain to check your bills, etc when you haven’t even been accepted. Or on the other hand it could be down to device demand and supply in which case you would think there would be some better correspondence from Virgin to keep you informed. Can anyone else shine a light on how long this ‘parked order’ status genuinely tends to last before you get any notification of what’s happening next. Any other network in the UK you have a full decision well inside 24 hours and also have a good idea when your phone will be delivered. Where Virgin Mobile seem to have a very unorthodox way of gaining new customers.

Hi MrMJB89,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's great having you on board with us in the Community.
Apologies to see that your order has been parked. Usually this means we need to double check a few things with you before we can accept the order. It could just be as simple as confirming payment details so try not to worry. It doesn't mean that the order hasn't been accepted.
The team will be in contact with you however if you need to speak to someone asap then give them a call on 0345 600 078 for them to check things for you.
Keep us posted on how things go.
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply,
out of curiosity how long is an order usually ‘parked’ before confirmation is given? Just I obviously have EE trying to throw their own ‘offers and deals’ to try and get me to renew with them. If this going to be something that can take days or even longer to resolve I may just consider what my current provider has on the table. Because I’ll need to get my PAC code to transfer my number and other things to make the switch. It would just be nice to get some clarity so I can get things in motion.
thanks

Hi MrMJB89,
Thanks for coming back to me so quickly.
It's not something we can advise on I'm afraid as it will depend on the reason the order has been parked.
If it is something you need clarity on as soon as possible then please call the team on the number I gave above so they can help further 🙂
Many thanks,
