I was offered a SIM only deal to trial for £6 per month. I was told I could cancel it at any time. It doubled in price after 6 months. I called Virgin to cancel it in November 2019.
Virgin continued to charge the account without sending me any invoices. I was not aware that it had not been cancelled.
A default was added to my credit rating. I established that it was due to this SIM card. I phoned Virgin and chatted online with them on MANY occasions and was informed that I could clear the account as I no longer have an account and my phone number was invalid.
i wrote a letter to Virgin in April 2020 - NO RESPONSE was received.
There are now EIGHT defaults on my credit rating because of this and I cannot sort out my finances and I now have to sell my house as no lender will go near me.
I would recommend speaking with the billing team and getting it escalated, I would also file a dispute with your credit file company and they will be able to dispute it for you, and they will contact virgin media on your behalf.
