Virgin mobile closed my account yesterday with the number port and it so happened it was my billing date so I assumed I was paid up and cancelled my Direct Debit.
Today I got another bill showing I was actually paying in arrears.
I called to find a way of paying the final bill only to be told the only way is to give card details. Bare in mind this is an Indian call centre and they would need the 16 digit number expiry and CVV. Enough info to fleece me totally.
I said there is no way I am giving them details. They insisted they do not save the details. I said for all I know you could be sat there with a pen and paper.
I made sure they put a note on my account that I want to pay the bill but they are not offering me a way I can pay it securely. It is only £6 but no way am I risking it. Will see what happens
Question is is there another securer option like a sort code and bank account I can make a direct payment too?

I have found BACS details but they seem to relate to Virgin Media and show up as Virgin Media 1 when added to my bank account. I obviously would use account number as reference but want to know if I use that number it will come off my mobile bill

Apologies for any issues faced, I assure you regarding this that taking the payment via contacting the team is secure and via legislation will follow the procedure that all of our team obide by.
Secondly are you unable to pay the bill via your MyVM account at all?

My virgin media account is fine and Direct Debit is fine there it is just my Virgin Mobile account there is no way to pay as the account is closed due to the number port apparently
I accept what you say about it being secure but the first thing I was told was the call was recorded for training purposes. I never give out my card details to strangers. Surely there has to be another way

That asks for an account number. My mobile account has letters at the start so I put the mobile number that used to be tied to the account and it just sends me back to customer services. Worth a go those thanks for the reply
