Unknown charge

I cancelled my virgin media account over a month ago through the help line, even after I was told it would be cancelled automatically after 11 months by a rep. I have now seen that even after cancelling, I have no been charged with my biggest bill yet of £85 and I have no idea why. 

is there any reason why virgin would charge so much to a customer who doesn’t even have an account anymore?

I am sorry for the confusion, contracts don't cancel automatically. You'd need to give notice to cancel.
