Transfer of ownership of phone on my account

Hello

my son has been on my contract under my name for years but he is now old enough to want and get his own phone. 
the problem is he has a severe speech impairment. 
so we tried to ring Virgin this afternoon to do the transfer of ownership and he couldn’t get any words out to allow him to pass on his details to the lady. 
is there anyway we can get around this as the lady was insistent that she had to talk to him?

Welcome back to our Community Forums and thanks for your post. 

In order to request a transfer of responsibility, our team would need to speak with both parties. If your son is able to complete DPA you can most certainly assist him on the call. 

Alternatively, if it's easier, you may take your son to a Virgin Media O2 store and if he finds a suitable phone and package, we can then provide a PAC code to transfer the number from Virgin Mobile across to the O2 sim.
