Still being billed for cancelled mobile contract

Hi There I just received an email bill for a contract that I had cancelled on the 24th June 2020 due to purchasing a new phone. I can't seem to get in touch with the call centre to try and resolve this I was under the impression that contract would be terminated 30 days after STAC code was sent but this hasn't been the case, hopefully you will be able to resolve this for me. The payment is due to leave my bank account on the 11th september.

Sorry to hear about the issues you have had with contacting us and the cancellation request 

Was this a freestyle contract?

No it was one of the original Unlimited All sim cards from a few years ago.

Looking at this it doesn't appear to be cancelled correctly

As a rule we are unable to assist or action disconnections on our Forums

This will need to be done by calling us or 

Just send us a text* with a description of your problem to 07533 051809
If it’s about your cable services, or 07533 016422 if you have a query about your mobile services. 
Your message will go into a queue and a representative will respond to you as soon as possible.

Did you use the STAC code on another network to terminate the Virgin SIM?. A STAC code has to be used to work and used within 30 days of issue of code.

I used it the day I received the code I got a new contract with virginmedia I just wanted the old number disconnected as it wasn't going to be used

I see your problem now, a STAC or PAC code only work when changing provider, you can not use to change/cancel from one Virgin SIM to another Virgin SIM.

Still being billed for this account and getting no help from anyone when I last spoke to someone I got told they will call me back within 5 - 7 days and still heard nothing im now getting really peeved off
