Sim issue

I recently took out a new contract, i originally set it up through my dads account and as soon as the device arrived i transferred the ownership over to myself, i spoke to someone over the phone and they said it would take 24 hours to register the number to my email, it’s now been almost a week and i’m still unable to do so.
