My final payment is due to be taken on Tuesday 11th April, even though I gave notice on 9/3/23 they explained on phone that I would get a refund of £21 once I return equipment, is this normal practice?

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.
We are so sorry to hear you are leaving us and we are also very sorry for any confusion regarding your final bill.
To clarify, you will be billed as normal up until the day of your disconnection. After the disconnection has taken place then we will send a final bill that will have a credit for any services paid for but not used. This will be refunded via a cheque in the post.
We do ask for some equipment to be returned, you can view more information about how to return online here and you can order return packaging online here.
