Hi ,I have signed new contract with virgin media today,which includes a switch to O2 from virgin mobile,I have been sent a email giving me a new mobile number, will my existing virgin mobile number be automatically transferred to O2 when I insert the new SIM and my contract with virgin mobile be cancelled?

Hi @impy1, thanks for posing and welcome back to our community.

Thanks also, for staying with ourselves as a customer.  As we and O2 are still essentially different entities, if you wish to keep your number you'd need to obtain a PAC from Virgin Mobile and provided it to O2.  They would then request the transfer of your number, which at the same time, would cancel your SIM with ourselves.  You can find out more information here.  As you've reached out on here, I would love to help you with this arrangement.  I am going to send you a private message.
