New contract new SIM

I have just renewed my BB contract and my package has my virgin mobile phone. As VM are no longer partners, I am being sent a new SIM and have asked to keep my number.

The SIM will arrive this week and has to be activated. What I am worried about is my current number. Will it port across immediately? Do I have to do anything?

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the reassurance.

Hi Soxer123, 

Thanks for getting in touch about your new package. 

It is possible that the port was request at the point of your upgrade, in this case it will all be done for you. 

If this hasn't been the case then we can provide you with a PAC to move the number across, this is done quickly and with ease. 

As we'd like to check on this for you we'll pop you a personal message to grab some details and see what needs to be done.
