Debt collection for debt 2020

I have recently been contacted by a debt collection agency who say they are collecting a debt that I owe to VM!

Now this apparently comes from two sims I  purchased back in October 2020. The signal in my home was so bad I cancelled the sims within my 14 day cancellation period, therefore no charges should have remained! This was confirmed on the phone at the time!

Three years later, following no correspondence from VM regarding this £134 outstanding, I get emailed and texts from a debt collection agency! Imagine my dismay!!! Now  we have been customers of VM since telewest days and I am so upset by all of this. It’s disgraceful that this can even happen with no correspondence at all. 

I attached a copy of the email and your views would be greatly appreciated as a matter of urgency before the bailiffs arrived!!! I have phoned to try and get proof but I either can’t understand the person or they have no idea what I am talking about. Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, it has been a while, really sorry to hear you have received notification of a debt you were unaware of due to canceling unwanted Sims within 14 days.

This really isn't great and I appreciate the shock when you received this, so I can get this investigated for you I will send you an inviter into a private chat, look out for the whit envelope to accept.

Did you get this resolved please?  I have exactly the same situation myself for a DIM I wasn't able to activate back in early 2020...
