Data roaming not working in Tenerife

I'm currently on holiday in Tenerife and my virgin mobile is not working. So far I have tried multiple reboots. I have ensured that data roaming is switched on both on my phone (before I arrived) and also with my Virgin mobile account. I did not receive a text on arrival informing me that data roaming was working. 

Any help would be appreciated.

We're sorry to hear your roaming isn't working whilst you're away. 

This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security.
