My mum passed away very unexpectedly in October, when my dad contacted virgin to inform them, he was told he needed to pay the rest of the bill, for the rest of the phone and a fee (it was a few things). The contract was in my mums name alone. My dad paid this as having to keep telling companies his wife died is hard enough. It doesn't sit right with me that he had to pay for someone's else's contract, especially when he is now struggling to pay bills as my mum was the worker, my dad is registered disabled. My dad wants to forget this and says it's paid don't worry, but how can he be charged for someone else's mobile contract.
