Cancelling a plan out of contract

Hello,

I need to cancel one of my mobile phone plans which is out of contract. I took out the plan for an elderly relative but unfortunately they now find using any mobile phone too confusing. Some of the threads I have read suggest that the plan is only terminated by Virgin Media when the number is transferred to another provider.

This does not apply in my case as I simply want to cancel the one plan completely. The other 2 plans I have are to stay in place. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your post and welcome back to our community. 

 

If you would like to cancel a phone plan that is no problem. You do not need to port the number to a new provider if you wish to cancel the contract and number in full. 

 

Our mobile support team can do this for you.

 

They can be reached on 789 from a Virgin Mobile or 0345 600 0789 from any other line. 

 

Alternatively you can speak via text on 0753 301 6422.

Good afternoon,

I contacted Virgin Mobile this afternoon on the 789 number and got through without delay.

I was able to have the mobile phone plan in question cancelled but obviously needed to give one month's notice.

I was a bit concerned that the operator could not identity my password even though it was correct, so I may have to follow this up. However, we got round the problem by using another security question.

So, all in all a positive experience but how consistent this level of service is might be a different matter.
