I contacted Virgin Mobile this afternoon on the 789 number and got through without delay.
I was able to have the mobile phone plan in question cancelled but obviously needed to give one month's notice.
I was a bit concerned that the operator could not identity my password even though it was correct, so I may have to follow this up. However, we got round the problem by using another security question.
So, all in all a positive experience but how consistent this level of service is might be a different matter.
