Hi Barry,

Yes you can drop the sim card (Volt)  -you don't have to take a Volt package -  remember to request a PAC code if you want to keep that number.

There are plenty of options without taking a Volt package, however VM regrades/retentions will try to sell you a Volt package with the O2 sim as it will probably be cheaper than a non Volt bundle, and if on commission earn the agent a higher commission.

Thanks for the reply Dave, What I should have mentioned is that I like to stay with the Volt package and I wonder how VM

would react to me dropping O2 then.

Hi @barryj thanks for your post here although I'm sorry you're wishing to leave O2.

You can of course do this, it would mean you'd lose the Volt element of your Virgin Media contract though, meaning your speed boost may be lost and any other Volt benefits lost too.

However, the pricing should stay the same as all Volt benefits are free of charge - I hope this helps but if you do need further help, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Many thanks
