bit of a chicken egg situation here...
need to pay mobile bill to unlock phone
need to call bank as had a block put on my card after trying to place a bet on betfair last night
Can you please unblock my phone for even an hour, and I'll call my bank then pay virgin mobile.

If the account is restricted, you should still be able to call 789.
What message do you hear please?
If you cant for any reason, do you have another line such as a land line? If so, you can call mobile support on 0345 600 0789.
Alternatively, you can pay online via your online account.
If you do not have one, you can register here

I can't call 789.... it says 'calls to this number are barred from your phone'
I don't have a landline
I can't pay online as my bank card is blocked until I call my bank
please private message me for details and unblock the number for 1 hour. I'll call bank and then pay virgin mobile. Even if 789 worked, and it doesn't, still need call bank to unblock card in order to pay..

We wouldn't be able to unblock the phone temporary without payment.
Banks have many ways customers can contact them now, not only by phone.
We would recommend you contact the bank via another channel please so they can assist with your card issue.

I just used my banking app to live chat with them, and there is a fraud block on the card, and I have to call them to lift it...
do you have a sort code/account number? Bank xfer is only way I can pay if you can't unblock me. Last time I had this issue, a mod here unblocked the phone number for me.

You've made the decision not to.. you could, but won't. OK, that's fair enough. My interent is working so it seems sometimes I do pay my bills. But this is a bad experience and the fact that 789 is barred to is uncool. Gonna change mobile provider and your team can chase me up in small claims court for the 10 quid or so I owe. Ciao
