vivid 200 not 350

Hi, I have noticed that my internet speeds are not what I thought they would be, on speedcheck I regularly get 70-100mbps sometimes as little as 30 and sometimes up to 200.

But looking at my package it says I have vivid 200, I definitely signed up for vip package with vivid 350, it says on my contract but also states vivid 200, confused,

The written contract I have states 350 fyi.

Can anyone shed some light?

What does it say on your bill?

Edit: Scratch that, go to 192.168.0.1 in your browser, click router status at the bottom (don't log in), click configuration and note what it says under "Max traffic rate" for the downstream. For VIVID 350 it would be 402510000, VIVID 200 would be 220100000 or thereabouts.

I would say so.

With paperwork, you certainly have some evidence for a discussion.

Hi Martyoc17

Thanks for joining our forums.

Sorry to hear there has been some confusion with the package you're on. Have you since been able to get any help with this or are you still unsure as to what speed package you're on?

Thanks,

Re: vivid 200 not 350

Hi.

I phoned up customer services and they say it is now upgraded to vivid 350 but I can see that the upload speeds have gone up to 21mb but download speeds still only achieving 100-150mb, is this what to expect? I though it would be more.

I have tried a wired reading and getting the same.

Upstairs the Wi-fi speed only gets 30mb max. Is this a normal amount to drop?

Re: vivid 200 not 350

wifi is wifi. Don't expect much as its very much dependant on the device and many factors in your home. Wired is the only tests you should use for diagnosing. It 'should' be showing full speed 99% of the time though.

Re: vivid 200 not 350

Hi Marty

I've run a check on your broadband and the specs look good.

Have you tried a hard wired test on your services since you had the upgrade?

Pop back with those results if you can and we'll check into it.

Take care.
