virgin media overcharging.

i’ve been a loyal virgin media customer for as long as i can remember recently i noticed my contract was coming to an end so i decided to call up and close it my contract was £25 a month. After i’d have called i was told i had an outstanding balance, which was the reason i couldn’t close it so i paid the overdue and yet i was still declined on closing the contract. As this was going on the virgin media box for the package at the time had a fault in it so i requested a new box which surely enough came with a much cheaper and better package i was using the box to then realise i’m being charged 68£ a month for my previous package which i don’t even have anymore. please get back to me i’m at an overdraft for 141£ which i do not claim to be at ive got no services available right now either.

Hi there @raviarkadir

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry that you have faced an issue with your service and thank you again for posting. I just want to get a little clarity on what has happened here.

You have mentioned you were cancelling but then requested a new Hub, did you agree to a new package with an upgraded Hub instead of cancelling?

i agreed through phone for a new package which went from 15£ for first 3 months then 30 and then so on as the current one was faulty they sent me the new box and is charging 68£ a month.

Okay thank you.

I will send you a private message now so we can look into this further for you.

Please look out for the purple envelope in the top right of the page and pop back to me when you can.
