Re: Useless inept service.

Technician no-shows are often a source of complaint on the forum.

The VM compensation scheme doesn't reflect or cover lost earnings but the two key info pages about it are

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/automatic-compensation

and

https://store.virginmedia.com/the-legal-stuff/terms-and-conditions-for-fibre-optic-services/automati...

The T&Cs are many as to how and when it is applied and, for a short-term outage, the money is not very great.

Once your fault is actually fixed, it should (in theory) be applied to cover the down-time as per the scheme terms. You might, however, also have to chase for it as well if you don't see a suitable credit afterwards.

Re: my vm should have cancelled today but its still on

Hi @sylo00

Thanks for posting - apologies for the cancellation confusion. It can take until midnight on the day of the cancellation for the services to disconnect so nothing to worry about 🙂

In relation to any refunds owed, this is done via cheque refund thirty five days after the account disconnection

Kind regards,
