cannot register new virgin media account

Hi all, I've been trying to register my new Virgin Media account for a few days now. At first I always got stuck at the page where you choose your email/username and a password. It kept telling me the email address isn't available, so I chose a different one but with the same result. Both email addresses are working and not from Virgin. When I tried it again the next day and ever since I end up on a web page stating the following:

Important information about My Virgin Media

We're doing some essential work on our systems.

 

I tried a couple of different browsers already and the same thing happens if I use the Virgin media app on my cell. Any ideas what I should do? Thx!

Ditto! Very frustrating. Want to change parental control settings etc..... how long does it take to do some "essential work"? I didn't expect it to last days...

Same here. The site has been down for at least a week now - so not able to register as a new customer or see anything about my account.

Not the best start to a new contract:

A media media hub lost in transit for 2 days (OK maybe not virgin's fault)

A sim card arriving 4 days ago that never arrived

And a website down for a week so I can't register

That part of the website is working for most people now since Friday 14th.  Please try again and come back here to report if not working.  I'm sure VM would like to know so they can continue to fix it.

Still not working: Navigate to virgin media website, select "Sign In" for "My Virgin Media", click "Register Now" on the subsequent page and I am redirected to https://my.virginmedia.com/maintenance-message.html/

This appears to be a constant state of affairs now...

We are currently experiencing an issue with 'My Virgin Media' due to site maintenance that has over ran, our team are working to get the issue resolved and we hope to have it back very soon.

How much longer on this? It's a bit silly....

I want to register my online account so I can change my parental controls and see bills. I also don't seem to be able to enjoy the 50% off EGX tickets... 🙄

I did see a post that if you ring in, then customer service can register you.  Please post back here if that works for you as it will help others.
