cancellation of account

I have recently given VM 30 days notice of termination of my account. I have received no response from them so far. In my experience of them, I have no confidence that they will honour the terms and conditions of their services, so I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has gone down the same route, and details of their experiences so that I can prepare for whatever happens.
