Currently I have Virgin Media cable modem, cable TV and telephone. I'm soon to be moving house, and that's causing me to take stock and (re)assess my my needs.
To be frank, I haven't watched "normal" television in nearly two years, so I've no need to continue with the cable TV. And for my work use, occasionally it would be useful to have a static IP address. With the additional service and tech support commitments it comes with, the business broadband services seem like a good fit.
Am I missing something in my assessment/understanding of the services?
Is there a "procedure" for switching from a domestic to a business "account"?
Many thanks for your post and welcome to the community.
Business accounts are handier in many ways if you're not fussed about the TV. With a business account you would get a much quicker SLA, meaning if there were any issues then we can get out to you a lot quicker.
I will send a private message to discuss options if you are interested.

I am also looking to switch to business broadband. Are there any disadvantages in terms of upload speeds? I believe there is a £50 connection fee, is it still applicable for existing home users switching to business broadband?
