Wrong Price contract - Virgin media Misleading

I wanted to leave VM so called them today. Spoke to a guy after an hour and he reduced my bill to £37 (if I reduce from 100M to 50M). So I did. Received email from VM which had the speed reduced by the price incresed to £54. That's after being on the phone nearly half a day today.

Has anyone else had this problem?

This is ridiculous...I think this is fraud and trading standards need to be told. More people should complain.
