There is, of course, nothing preventing you from posting the contents of any PM message on here, just remove anything which might be seen as personal information.

It does look as if the emails you received were more of a marketing exercise rather than any firm offer (legally an ‘invitation to treat’). As such they aren’t binding.

However the Advertising Standards Agency might be interested in a company making claims and ‘offers’ which they are unable or unwilling to honour.

Hi fsurfer, thanks for the message and welcome to the forums.

I am sorry to hear that you are not getting the required speed and will send you a PM.

Please look out for the message.

Kind regards, Chris.

Hi, our PM exchange is going nowhere.

Screenshots of what I received

I have had 2 emails from Virgin

Can you please reply on forum NOT by PM, as my query is to do with the VirginMedia site and emails many customers have received.

It will also show what support VirginMedia offers!

Hi fsurfer, thanks for the reply. As per the screen shots we can see that you have an invitation to treat and can see that you have been advised that you will get a follow up email confirming things and looks like that email was sent on Friday. Hopefully this will be added soon. The reason for the PM was to check to see if anything has been added, this can only be done once security has been passed. - Chris.
