Want to downgrade my package due price rising

Want to cancel my TV and phone line as I don't use them in over year now but want to keep my Internet. Can I change my plan by downgrading due rise of price? Had a email stating I can cancel my package before set date way before my contract runs out.

Re: Want to downgrade my package due price rising

The package cancellation option applies to an outright cancellation I believe, not picking and choosing which services you keep and lose.

You're free to request disconnection of particular services, but I suspect you may be liable to early termination charges if those are inside minimum term.

Re: Want to downgrade my package due price rising

Hello Shrimplin,

Thanks for posting in regards to making changes to your package, we appreciate you raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.

Although we aren't able to make changes to packages via the forums we can advise of the best ways to speak to the team in regards to this. If you can give the team a call on 150 from a Virgin Media landline or 0345 454 1111 option 1, option 4 then option 4 this will get you through to the contracts team who will be able to look into this further for you.

We also have these contact methods available https://virg.in/contactvm or you can send your query to 07533016422 and we’ll text you back. We’re here 8am-11pm Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm on Saturday and Sunday.

As japitts has advised, if you are in a fixed term contract with time remaining Early Disconnection Fee's may be applicable as advised here.

Rob
