Virgin Media Login Issue

So, this is quite complicated and Virgin Media customer service chat has been zero help. 

Here's the situation: 
When I first signed up for my contract I used my usual email address. However, because I'd used this address previously I was unable to register it for a Virgin Media account. It was suggested I register using an alternate email address - I did this but I made an error in my email address and left out a "." so the verification email went to an email address that doesn't exist. Now I can't register for an account because my account is linked to an incorrect email address. 

Previously when someone has tried to help they've tried to change my email address to the correct one - this means I do get Virgin Media emails to that account but it still won't let me log in and says I still need to verify my email (and then states the wrong email address). My bills go to the original email address I signed up with. 


I really need to be able to log in as I need to renew my contract and re-set up my direct debit.
