I arranged for a disconnection from Virgin Media, and a new customer signed up from my address.
Then later, i cancelled the initial disconnection and arranged a renewal of my contract.
over two weeks later in the post i am being asked to send back equipment. Please confirm i should ignore this, and that my services as requested are NOT being disconnected.

I have just taken a quick look over the account your services are active and there isn't an active disconnection booked on the account. You don't need to send your equipment back for this.
