VM have started my new contract early - would like some advise

Hi all!

I have signed up for new 12 month contract and is slightly more than previous contract, but thought it would only start when my current one ends but they started it straight away.... which means I really only have an 11 months contract deal now.  Only noticed when they sent me confirmation email and tried to reply but have heard nothing back.

It took me 45+ mins to get through to them in the first place to arrange the new contract so don't fancy trying that again😐

Any advise on where I stand would be greatly appreciated.

Ta!

Mel

Re: VM have started my new contract early - would like some advise

Good Afternoon,

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums

If you agreed new contract with us, this would come into effect immediately and would be classed as a package change.

Were you advised whether this would be a fixed term deal that you have a agreed to or is this a rolling month to month deal with the originally contract end date still being applicable?

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Re: VM have started my new contract early - would like some advise

Hi Bigbadjohn007, sorry to hear that you're not happy with your billing. Unfortunately we don't have an email address for contact.

Can you check your online account to see if an old offer has recently expired or whether there are any other items that may explain the increase?

Thanks,

Lisa

Re: VM have started my new contract early - would like some advise

Hi David

Thanks for getting back to me.

As I was enquiring about similar 12months deal as one I had previously, I had thought the new deal would automatically begin when my current one ran out. So assumed it would be another 12 month contract that ended June 2021.

Re: VM have started my new contract early - would like some advise

Hi ha-melmahey,

Thank you for coming back to us, when a new package is negotiated depending on what it was, if it was from our customer relations team it can start straight away, it doesn't have to wait until the contract ends.

Regards

Paul.
