It’s in the thousands AFAIK.

Re: VM Junction box obstruction

Hi DK_8

We can pop your query along to the Cabinet teams for costings but it can be very costly for this to be moved.

It's up to you if you want us to chase this for you?

If so pop your details back to my PM.

I have sent a PM to you that you can find on the top right in the purple envelope if you still need help with this and if you can pop back to me on this that would be great.

Hope to speak soon!

Re: VM Junction box obstruction

Hi

i went away for Easter and on my return there was  a small grey box  fitted by Virgin in the middle of my driveway wall. The workers were in fact not finished but despite my protests carried on with putting it in the middle. I don’t believe anyone has been linked to the box as yet. It is the only box in the street situated in the middle of a house’s wall.

I was in the process of getting my wall demolished and the kerb lowered outside my house (I’ve counted and 81 of 91 houses in the street have had this done). How do I get this moved please and quickly to stop any connections to the box being made.

Thanks

Re: VM Junction box obstruction

Talk to the council who would of granted them permission to build there.

Re: VM Junction box obstruction

Having read a few threads they don’t need planning permission.

Re: VM Junction box obstruction

For a fixed box they would. Go speak to your council.

Re: VM Junction box obstruction

VM does not usually require planning permission for installing street cabinets as they come under permitted development. It would be wrong to make it a requirement to always seek planning permission as it would make the deployment of fast broadband networks much slower and more expensive.

Re: VM Junction box obstruction

Virgin rep came out to have a look. He Stated it was nothing to do with the council, Virgin can put the boxes where they like. In a road where 90% of houses have a paved driveway as a front garden they decided to put one in the middle of my front garden wall.

And when I asked why Virgin had put it there he shrugged, said because they did and further stated and you can’t have it moved. And then he left. What a lovely representative of Virgin he was.

Does anyone know a  department at Virgin I can contact who will try to be helpful in some way?
