Some time back, when we got TiVo, we opted to keep our old box and have it in another room. We were charged £5/month for this privilege.
Things changed and the box stopped being used - and is now no longer supported (original silver TV Drive) - no problem as it turns out I am also only paying for 1 box again.
My current bundle is the Big Kahuna (M200 + Full House TV + Talk Unlimited)
My current equipment is a TiVo 500 and a SuperHub 2
Under "my offers" I have the option for a Bigger Bundle (M350 + Maxit TV + Talk More Anytime).
This offers the V6 Box and requires an activation fee of £35.
So imagine my shock when I enquire about keeping my existing TiVo box and being told it will cost £100 to activate it!Why? All the wiring is there, I am able to plug it in myself, I already have the TiVo box (which is also currently active) and the V6 would be supplied as part of the upgrade.
I am still considering the upgrade, however, I would like a price for the Bigger Bundle plus 2nd box that is reasonable"

Yep. As you are effectively going from one box to two by keeping the TiVO on your account you get hit with a "2nd box" activation fee, as opposed to swapping the TiVO for a V6 for the £35.
PS. If you move to M350 you should also get a Hub3 as well.

So I'll get hit for a v6 activation, AND a second box activation (which is nearly 3 times the price)...
Despite the fact that I've had 2 boxes on the account before, I never asked for the second box to be removed, and the TiVo is already active.
Seems rather extortionate.
I'm aware I'll need to upgrade the superhub, I'm hoping that's automatic, and that I won't be hot with an additional activation fee for that too.
Would really like a response from the VM team.
Thank you for your post.
