Upgrade and new contract

Hi,

On the 2nd of December I checked the eligible upgrades through my.virginmedia.com

We opted for the 350meg broadband with unlimited phone for £42 p/m after £29 discount, entering back into an 18 month contract. After waiting a week for the contract to be mailed through, I contacted customer service through webchat and was advised that the offer couldn't be applied as we currently have discounts applied til Feb. Our contract ended in August this year.

Could some kind soul please take a look into why this offer was there, why we were able to accept the offer, and why we also had email confirmation please?

Re: Upgrade and new contract

Morning,

Just logged in to check my new bill to find it's £25 higher than it should be?

Anybody around to have a look?

Best wishes,

Brian

Re: Upgrade and new contract

I'm sorry for any confusion with the billing Brian,

Have you had a look at your bill breakdown online to see where the charges have come from?

Re: Upgrade and new contract

Hi Alex,

Not yet as the actual bill is still showing as last months.

Shouldn't matter anyway as £42 p/m was agreed and signed up for, maybe an extra £10 for loss of existing offer?

Best wishes,

Brian

Re: Upgrade and new contract

Thanks for getting back to me Brian,

Is it possible there could be call charges on your monthly bill, if you're able to wait to see the bill breakdown online?

Let us know then if you have any further questions.

Re: Upgrade and new contract

Hi Alex,

I doubt there will be call charges, it's talk unlimited and we never use the house phone as we all have mobiles. I'll wait til we get the breakdown though and take it from there 😉

Thanks,

Brian

Re: Upgrade and new contract

Something just doesn't look right with this, we're meant to be talk anytime with 350mb broadband for £42 p/m, yet the bill is over £67 without any all charges.
