Updating my contact Phone Number

I am looking to change my Phone Number in my Account Details but i receive the message -

Sorry the changes you made were not saved, please try again

The Number i have Currently Listed Is no longer in use / Disconnected and i have an Appointment with an Engineer and if they are trying to contact they would not have my current number,

is there a way of changing the number without calling the general Virgin Media Contact Number  which can take a long time to speak to someone ?
