I just received a suspicious phone call on my non-Virgin media mobile phone from someone with a heavy Americanised accent claiming to be from Virgin Media.
He did not seem completely sure what my name was, so I said goodbye and hung up.
The number he called from claimed to be 0800 052 1251 and a reverse lookup on the Internet says this is anything from a genuine Virgin Media call centre, to scammers trying to get your login details.
Anyone know if this was likely to have been a genuine call?
Please Virgin, can you ensure that if your sales people call, that they call the Virgin Media landline and that they know the name of the person they are calling.
