I am currently unable to send back my virgin media Wi-Fi box after ending my contract with the company. This box was for my university house however I have since vacated the property due to covid and sent the keys back so do not have access either. I have been send multiple emails and text messages telling me I will be charged. Can the new tenants use the box that we have left at the property? I don’t know what to do as I cannot afford to pay £150 to keep the box as well when I no longer live there so can’t possibly send it back.
There are posts this week from VM saying that they are using door collection teams to pick up old equipment from houses during these times - see this post for an example - you could try and arrange that with the new tenant - if possible.
