Unable to login to account

Like others, I am unable to login - I get "unknown username and password".

I've reset it by entering account number and area number an I set up the username and password again. But I can't login with the new username and password again.

As others have found - no proper means of contacting VM for help. Phone line disconnects as too busy, no chat available (even though the contact page says it's there).

How can so many people be having the same problem?

If it's helpful, when I "re-register" with any email and password, I get

Sorry!

We are not able to set up your my Virgin Media account at the moment. Please try again later, or you can also set up your my Virgin Media account at the time of your broadband installation. We are looking forward to connecting you to your superfast broadband.

So nothing works!
