Unable to create MyVM account ("please try again later")

Just got connected on 23 Oct 2019 - tried to register for MyVM account and getting the same message as others often get it seems:

"Sorry! We are not able to set up your my Virgin Media account at the moment. Please try again later, or you can also set up your my Virgin Media account at the time of your broadband installation. We are looking forward to connecting you to your superfast broadband."

When I try to register with my Gmail address, the system says it's already used (I used to be a customer, 2014 to 2018, now returned, or rather VM finally cabled my street after moving). When I input another email, it gives me the error above.

Ideally I'd want to register with my Gmail address that I used previously.

Thanks for your post. 

 

I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to register your online Virgin Media account and I have now sent you a private message so we can get this sorted out for you. 

 

You will be able to access your private messages by clicking on the purple envelope which is located at the top right hand side of your screen.
