Hello,

Ive spent over an hour at various points today on the phone, and spoken to the chat bot,

Been advised on an email i have 30 days from today to cancel my contract before it doubles but cannot get through,

How do you expect to keep customers when we cant even cancel when you DOUBLE the cost of the service you provide; but cant even provide any actual customer service (and no option to talk to someone on live chat as it doesnt work)

Cancel by recorded delivery to Virgin Media, Sunderland, SR43 4AA keeping a copy of your letter.

In the mean time do please let Ofcom know all about your cancellation experience with VM https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Community-Natter/Breaking-OFCOM-investigating-VM-over-difficult...

I'm not a Very Insightful Person (just a little bit, sometimes). I don't work for Virgin Media (but then nor do any of the offshore customer service agents).

Hi @Avitus2015

It sounds like you were on a very good discounted package which is now ending.

The quickest contact method is by calling either 150 from a VM landline or mobile, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone, call around 8am if possible when lines first open and are least busy.

Choose option 4 retentions (thinking of leaving us) They are generally based in the UK, and have a greater degree of knowledge and flexibility, along with a larger range of discounts than the front line agents. You can process your cancellation with that team or negotiate a new deal with them that's suitable to your pocket and needs in exchange for a new contract.

You can also speak to the team on WhatsApp on 0730 532 7112 but this method can take 4 to 6 hours as phone calls take priority..

You could try the live messenger chat

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/leaving

Also, as indicated on that page, you can use good old snail mail.

Write to Virgin Media, Sunderland, SR43 4AA, including your name, address and account number. Send it by registered (signed for) post.
