Unable to cancel contract? Help please :-)

I have moved cable broadband provider, and attempted on several occasion to cancel my Virgin contract. Email has not worked. Phoning is impossible having waited over 45 minutes and still no answer.

 

Sent a recorded delivery and standard delivery letter (shows having arrived and signed for on 17 July 2019.

Still no contact from Virgin except yet another bill sent by email.

 

Any other ideas on how the heck I can cancel this contract (it's not fixed term)?

Apologies for any difficulty getting in touch about the cancellation of your contract. The phone lines have been busier than usual recently, and we appreciate that waiting on the phone for an agent to become available can be inconvenient which is why the option to provide cancellation notice in writing is provided.

 

I'm also sorry there appears to be a delay getting back to you regarding your written notice - may I ask which address you sent it to?

The cancellation letters were sent to and signed for at 

Virgin Media Sales Operation Support
Diamond Plaza
Daleside Road
Nottingham
Nottinghamshire
NG2 3GG
