Could anybody tell me if this is a genuine text from VM
Hi it’s Virgin Media here. We’ve been trying to reach you to discuss your services. We’ve got an exclusive offer just for you – 100MB Broadband for only £16 per month! To discuss this with us or anything else, please call us on 0203 743 6951 and our dedicated team will be happy to help
To stop receiving messages, reply STOP.
I've tried phoning the number, but it never rings and shows as potential fraud on my phone.
The message does come from a number that VM have messaged me on multiple times.
MOD EDIT: Hi Please do not call the number on the text given message.
We have fed this back to ensure this is fully investigated.

Hi Haley, thanks for your reply.
Why does the number contained in the text never connect?
I've tried 150, but nobody has a clue about the text message or which 'dedicated team' the text originated from.
Thanks

Hi Hayley,
Thanks for responding to this one.
I received the same message via text yesterday and came on here to check.
Having now called in to 0345 454 1111and been connected to retentions, they have said that this is not an available offer and 100Mb broadband cannot be offered at such a low price.
Regards, Paul

Hi there,
I second this. Went egzactly through like yourself. This number goes silent for seconds and than hangs up. Tried calling 3 different departments over the phone and they haven’t got a clue about their offer or who they were?
can the MOD that confirmed they’re virgin media also confirm what department they’re from and an easier way to contact them?
why are they texting us and asking us to ring a number that does not work?

Hello everybody on this thread.
Thanks for joining onto the conversation.
I am deeply sorry, after investigating this further, the text above is not legitimate. They have followed the same process as our 'End of contract notification'
Please do not call the number on the text given, this is a scam.
I am very sorry again for the confusion caused.
Many thanks,

Hi there,
thanks for replying.
how can this be a scam when the text came via a legitimate sms number 07533051809?
this is the same sms number vm uses to assist their customers?
is that sms number been compromised too?

Hi Hayley, its a bit late now.
This text came from a legitimate VM text number that I have received multiple messages off over several years.
I have tried to call it 7 times.

I also got this message. I'm in the 31 day period of contract disconnection and received the message from the same number as Virgin media previously texted me from. Are others who received this message also in the process of leaving? If so, that's very suspicious!
