I am currently living with a friend in a shared house and the Virgin Media account is currently on my name. I will relocate abroad in few weeks and would like to switch the contract and its full responsibility to my housemate as we are really happy with the Virgin Media package.
I called VM support and they said I need to cancel my account, return the modem and then my housemate will need to open a new account on his name. Problem is we are both working from home and we can't really manage few (hopefully!!) days without connection. Is there a way to just fully switch the account responsibility from my name to my housemate?
I am afraid that what you have been told is the only way to do it, Virginmedia do not do a transfer of responsibility anymore, the only option is too cancel and the new person to start there own account.
