Social Tariff

I’ve only just been made aware of the existence of social tariffs. I’ve been in receipt of Universal Credit since May and I’ve struggled to make my payments every month. I’ve been a customer since January 2019 and I’m also a mobile customer.
Is there anything I can do to claim back some of the money I’ve overpaid?

I wouldn’t have thought that you could get any of your charges back as you have been receiving a full broadband service, rather than the social broadband service, but you should use the form to apply for it now if you haven’t already:

Hi @GordonSW,

Welcome back to our Community Forums! Thank you for your post and I'm sorry to hear that this has been your experience and that you were not made aware of our Essential Broadband sooner!

You can read more about this on our website as @Ernie_C advised. Unfortunately, we would be unable to credit back any money as you have been receiving full service during this time.

We would recommend applying to see if you're eligible, if you're interested.

Thank you.
