Service status page is not accurate

The last couple times I've called in with an issue on either my broadband or my home phone the "check service status" is showing everything is ok, but when I call in the support person says there is a fault in my area. Is the check service status function on the website updated?

As far as I am aware, whenever I have had a fault in my local area the service status page has never been updated. However, when contacting over the phone, it does provide an update or the customer service rep on the phone explains there is a service fault, etc.

That's my experience as well, it just seems strange they would have a check your service status here capability and not use it.

My understanding is that Service Status is for situations with a wide scope.

Local issues do not match this but are advised if you call in.

There is a cut off for the "Check service status" when it affects a large amount of customers you can also call 0800 561 0061 to check for local issues.
