Sent new pre-contract documents without consent

Hi,

I received a call this afternoon from Virgin Media where the caller asked if I would like to hear offers. I declined the call. They then asked if an email can be sent with offers with which I said sure and then the call ended.

Not long after the call ended, I received a text and email specifying that I have pre-contract documents.

First of all, I didn't agree to a new contract, and second of all, the cost is £14 higher than my current contract which isn't due to expire for over a year.

Why am I being sent this?

I'm sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the contract.
I will look in to this for you and send you a private message to investigate.
Watch out for the purple envelope inviting you in 🙂

This has also happened to me. I have enquired about TV but certainly not signed up to anything, yet received pre-contract documents. Please contact me to resolve.

Hey CJC71, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community and I am sorry you got a random email.

Sometimes if you have enquired about adding TV one for example they will send this to show you some offers.

I can also see you have been in contact with the team, did they manage to get this resolved for you? Thanks
