Resolving a contract issues

I was to move house and take my package with me. However the move didn't take place and I informed virgin well in time. However still lost all my services so contacted virgin who put half my services back but also without my knowledge opened a new 18 month contract at £100 more a month. I have tried numerous calls/complaints and was hopeful that my issue was to be resolved. I do have all services back abate with a new landline number (which I wasn't informed about). However I now have a further contract again for 18 months at twice the amount I was paying. Why would I change my contract to a much dearer contract over a longer period. No matter who you speak  to (7 people)there is not one who can help or get it right. Could someone just look at my account and you can see the contract I should be on.
