Referred my friend back in December, and the information said that 45 days after their equipment is installed, I would receive my £50 credit. It's now halfway through March with no sign of it being credited to either my or my friends accounts. As you can understand I feel stupid for leading my friend on with this offer when we haven't had it come through. I was banking on having it credited last month because I couldn't afford the bill, now I'm a month behind on payments. I rang up to sort it out, but got through to a call center in India, and they said I had to receive a confirmation e-mail after the referral went through, but of course I didn't receive one. Can this please be sorted as my financial situation is bad enough as it is, and my trust in the company is wavering and I'm thinking about going with EE who I already have a phone contract with.

As our colleagues have advised you when you called, you would have received a confirmation email to advise that we had received your friends details. Your friend would then be contacted to take the offer.
If they did indeed sign up via your referral, then the Refer a Friend offer would show on their welcome email as well as their contract. Any credits will then be added 28 days after their services have been installed
Are you able to confirm how you referred your friend?
