Problems cancelling my account

I wrote to the Virgin Address in Nottingham on 29 March to cancel all my services. Today I get a letter not acknowledging this but a letter telling me they have received my complaint!!?


I have been down that path already once and got no-where.... I have tried for 3 days using the text service to get through only to be told for 3 hours it’ll be about another 45 minutes!


All I want is some acknowledgment that my services will end, when they will end and where to return my equipment to. I don’t want to be left hanging another 28 days with Virgin telling they have tried to contact me numerous times to no avail and they trust I am satisfied with the resolution, then closing the complaint again!
What can I do please? I do not have the time to be kept in call queues being messed around.

Thanks for your post, Sorry though to read you are looking to leave us 

The Complaint Team will make sure this account gets deleted 

The Date of the request will also be the date the Letter was written

they are rubbish as I have been trying to cancel this crap fro 2 months. Always those muppets you speak to are usesell, dont know where they found them

When and how did you contact the Team to cancel?

Sadly we are not able to Cancel services over this Forum

Thanks Gareth, but to be honest I don’t understand why I get a letter telling me they are investigating my complaint when I didn’t make one. 
I expected a letter saying sorry you are cancelling, your services end on ..... payment due.... and return your equipment.

Investigating a complaint when I did actually make one last time went nowhere. They insisted they made efforts to contact me but left no voicemails and gave me no way to contact them back. Then they closed the complaint, no resolution.

As stated before, unfortunately we are not able to cancel accounts from here.
