Prices going up, no phone numbers work!

I had an email from VM today, I'm out of contract (I pay for broadband and non-functioning landline) and they want to increase my payment to a total of £59 a month. Obviously I'm unhappy about this and want to speak with them, so I rang the number in the email 0345 454 1111 - it beeps 8 times then disconnects, as if it is a wrong number. Then I tried ringing 150 from my VM mobile, that also disconnects as if the number doesn't exist. Disappointing that they can't even get their own phones working...

Previously I have been offered loyalty discounts (I have been with VM for around 20 years, although not always in my name) and I'm happy with the broadband itself, but the prices are getting ridiculous. We need good broadband as we are 2 teachers and 2 teenage children all using it for education. Can VM make me a better offer, as I'm looking at other providers now? Or does anyone have experience of other providers they can recommend?
